Shimelis Bonsa

ShimelisBonsaShimelis Bonsa has a Ph.D. in Urban Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. He was a lecturer in Ethiopian and African history in the History Department of Addis Ababa University (1990-2003). He has been working on issues of migration, urbanization, urban ethnicity, urban economy, gender, and democracy and the media. His research interest also includes the study of urban culture, ethnicity and nationalism, and transnational identities. He has participated in international conferences, published number of articles and a monograph on the Private Media. He is also a member of professional associations.

Frehiywot Samuel Tuloro

Frehiywot Samuel Tuloro graduated from Addis Ababa University with L.LB in 1997, and with LL.M in Human Rights from St. Thomas University School of Law with Magna Cum Laude in 2008. In his nine years of career service he served as a Chief Justice to one of the State Supreme Courts in Ethiopia. He also served as a chairperson of Independent Inquiry Commission to Investigate the civil unrest and related human rights violations that occurred in Ethiopia during post 2005 election and testified before the U.S. Congressional Committee on International Relations about the Commission’s report.

Mengistu Ayalew

Mengistu AyalewMengistu Ayalew holds an MA degree in Coexistence and Conflict from Brandeis University, Waltham, MA, and received an MA degree in International Studies from the Institute of Diplomacy & International Studies, University of Nairobi, Kenya.  Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
